Witness list for public hearings 25–27 August 2026

The Commission of Inquiry into the CFMEU and Misconduct in the Construction Industry will hold public hearings between Tuesday 25 August 2026 and Thursday 27 August 2026. Hearings will be held in Courtroom 17, Level 4, Brisbane Magistrates Court.
It is anticipated that the following witnesses will be called for cross-examination:
Tuesday 25 August
- Jacqueline King – General Secretary, Queensland Council of Unions
- Stacey Schinnerl – Secretary, Australian Workers’ Union Queensland Branch
Wednesday 26 August
- Mark Irving KC – former Administrator of the CFMEU Construction and General Division
It is anticipated that evidence may also be heard from the following witnesses on Thursday 27 August:
- Jack Ryan – Deputy Regional Director, Metropolitan Region, Department of Transport and Main Roads
- Scott Power – Chief Executive Officer, BMD Group
- Grant Killen – Managing Director, Concentric Concepts Pty Ltd
It is envisaged that each hearing day will be conducted at the following times:
- 10:00 am – 11:15 am
- 11:30 am – 12:45 pm
- 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm
