Witness list for public hearings 6–8 October 2026

The Commission of Inquiry into the CFMEU and Misconduct in the Construction Industry will hold public hearings between Tuesday 6 October 2026 and Thursday 8 October 2026. Hearings will be held in Courtroom 34, Level 7, Brisbane Magistrates Court.
It is anticipated that evidence will be heard from the following witnesses:
- Labourers and supervisors who were working on the Dutton Park site of the Cross River Rail Project on and around 1 May 2024
- Senior AWU officials who were performing Union-related duties in relation to the Cross River Rail Project and Brisbane Metro Project
- Joseph Wallace – Managing Director, Multhana
- Matthew Papworth – Human Resources Manager, CPB Contractors
- Rob McPherson – Industrial Relations Consultant, formerly with the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority
- Terence Prior – Industrial Relations Manager, CPB Contractors
- Tim Carlton – Senior Safety Adviser, CPB Contractors
- Jamey Purvis – Project Manager (Southern Area), Cross River Rail Project
- Jessica Allam – Shared Services Administrator, Cross River Rail Project
- Peter Bennett – Senior Supervisor, Cross River Rail Project
It is envisaged that each hearing day will be conducted at the following times:
- 10:00 am – 11:15 am
- 11:30 am – 12:45 pm
- 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm

Members of the public are encouraged to watch the hearings live via our website. Transcripts will be published online as they become available.
Workers, subcontractors, industry participants and community members are encouraged to come forward with information they feel is relevant to the inquiry. This information will be treated in strict confidence unless stated otherwise.
