Commission of Inquiry confirms additional 2026 hearing dates

The Commission of Inquiry into the CFMEU and Misconduct in the Construction Industry has confirmed further sitting dates for 2026, following the Queensland Government's decision to extend the Commission's reporting date to 3 December 2027.

The additional time will allow the Commission to work through the substantial volume of evidence before it, hold further public hearings, and ensure relevant witnesses and affected parties have the opportunity to give evidence and be cross-examined ahead of the Commission's final report.

The following sitting blocks have been confirmed for 2026:

  • 14–16 July 2026 (Commonwealth Law Courts, Brisbane)
  • 28–31 July 2026 (Brisbane Magistrates Court)
  • 18–20 August 2026 (Brisbane Magistrates Court)
  • 25–27 August 2026 (Brisbane Magistrates Court)
  • 6–8 October 2026 (Brisbane Magistrates Court)
  • 27–29 October 2026 (Brisbane Magistrates Court)
  • 10–12 November 2026 (Brisbane Magistrates Court)
  • 24–26 November 2026 (Brisbane Magistrates Court)
  • 8–10 December 2026 (Brisbane Magistrates Court)
