Witness list for public hearings 14-16 April 2026

The Commission of Inquiry into the CFMEU and Misconduct in the Construction Industry will hold public hearings between Tuesday 14 April 2026 and Thursday 16 April 2026. Hearings will be held in Courtroom 17, Level 4, Brisbane Magistrates Court.
It is anticipated that evidence will be heard from the following witnesses.
- Nigel Hadgkiss – Former Australian Building and Construction Commissioner
- Wayne Jenkinson – Former State Director of Queensland Operations at the Australian Building and Construction Commission, and former Director at the Building and Construction Compliance Branch
- David Cappelletti – Current Principal Inspector for Workplace Health and Safety Queensland
- Sarina Wise –Executive Director for WHS Compliance and Field Services at Workplace Health and Safety Queensland
- Peter McKay – Current Director-General Department of Trade, Employment and Training, former Director-General of the Office of Industrial Relations
It is envisaged that each hearing day will be conducted at the following times:
- 10:00 am – 11:15 am
- 11:30 am – 12:45 pm
- 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm
