Public hearings 14-16 July 2026
The twelfth week of public hearings for the Commission of Inquiry into the CFMEU and Misconduct in the Construction Industry was held at the Commonwealth Law Courts in Brisbane.
The Commission heard evidence from:
- Grant Galvin – Former CEO of Master Builders Queensland
- Deanne Hawkswood – Chief Procurement Officer, Department of Transport and Main Roads
- David Balmer – Regional Director (Queensland) ACCIONA Construction Australia Pty Ltd, and Chair of Queensland Major Contractors’ Association.
- Trent Smith – General Manager of Industrial Relations at John Holland.
- Glynn Ladbrooke – Operations Manager (Queensland/ Norther Territory), at John Holland Pty Ltd.
